“This internship had an impact on my mindset. After working with Fresh Vibes, I understood the importance of really getting to know your neighborhood and the way it impacts your goals and vision on building the community. I learned the different impacts site design could have on the way a person feels in an area.”

Rice Street Corridor Sculpture Project Preview
We worked on a series of sculptures that we plan to install on the Rice Street corridor. The sculptures are meant to welcome the community into a public space and make them feel at home when they walk into the space of each sculpture. The art pieces will represent the diversity and address spacial issues in the neighborhood. The solutions addressed neighborhood concerns about gathering spaces, safety, beutification, and cultural relevancy. This is an ongoing project that we are still working on to finalize design concepts and implement the installation of sculptures.
